The BMW E30 is the second generation of the BMW 3 Series, produced between 1982 and 1994, which replaced the E21 3 Series.
The model range included the first 3 Series produced in coupe and cabriolet body styles, as well as sedan and wagon/off-road body styles.
BMW E30 Spare Parts were powered by four-cylinder gasoline, six-cylinder gasoline, and six-cylinder diesel engines, the latter being a first for the 3 Series. The E30 325iX model became the first 3 Series with all-wheel drive.
The first BMW M3 model was produced on the E30 platform and was powered by a high-revving four-cylinder gasoline BMW S14 engine that produced 175 kW (235 bhp) in its final iteration only in Europe.
The BMW Z1 roadster was also based on the E30 platform.
After the launch of the E36 3 Series in 1990, the E30 gradually began to come to an end.
