BMW New Six (E9)
A two-door sports coupe produced by BMW between 1968-1975.
It has 2.5, 2.8, and 3.0-liter versions of the BMW M30 straight-six engine.
Larger engine units were used in racing models.
It has been very successful in races and has brought fame to BMW.
Its most significant achievements are in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) and
the German Sports Car Championship (Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft).
It is a sought-after car by collectors today.
Models
2.5CS: 150 hp (110 kW), 894 units produced between 1974-1975.
2800CS: 170 hp (125 kW), 1968 - 1971
3.0CS: 180 hp (132 kW), Zenith 35/40 INAT carburetors were used
3.0CSi: With innovations like the new compression ratio and Bosch D-Jetronic Electronic fuel injection system, the 3.0CSi reached 200 PS (149.1 kW) power and a top speed of 227 km/h (137 mph).
3.0CSL: The 3.0CSL is considered the first project of BMW's M division. It is a lightweight version of the 3.0 coupe. Racing models feature 3.2-liter (340 hp/253 kW) and 3.5-liter (430 PS) engines with aerodynamic modifications.
